Smooth the Ride

Upon returning home from another body-jamming ride on the San Bernardino Freeway, I was amazed to find two checks for car tax rebates for our two cars. I would gladly return these checks, as I am sure many of the electorate would, in exchange for a much smoother ride on our freeways. We used to feel that California had the best highways in the country, but having driven in over a dozen states in the last few years we have reconsidered. Many of these states have much harsher weather conditions than California, yet the roads are in much better shape and the ride smoother.
