Sky Holm of Calabasas has committed to the Merchant Marine Academy. Holm averaged 10.4 points for the Coyotes.

ATHLETICS

* Jeff Thornton, a former water polo and swim coach, has been selected athletic director at Crespi. He has served as dean of men and Mission League coordinator.

GOLF

* USC senior Alex Kuyumjian of Thousand Oaks was selected All-Pacific 10 Conference along with teammate Hunter Mahan, who was also chosen freshman of the year. Kurt Schuette of USC was selected coach of the year.

Kuyumjian helped the Trojans win the Pac-10 title with a 72.63 average for 18 holes and tied for fifth in the conference finals.

TENNIS

* Pepperdine won its 11th consecutive West Coast Conference men’s tournament on Sunday, defeating San Diego, 4-2, in the final at Malibu.

The No. 19-ranked Waves (17-7) earned an automatic berth in the NCAA tournament. Pairings will be announced Thursday.

Al Garland of Pepperdine was selected WCC player of the year.
