Ventura 74, Lassen 55--Kelly Murray scored 19 points and the Pirates (31-4) advanced to the semifinals at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton.

Lassen (26-6) led, 27-24, at halftime but was outscored, 50-28, in the final 20 minutes.

Ventura, the defending champion and winner of three of the last five titles, plays Fresno City at 6 p.m. today.

Fresno City (30-6) defeated Riverside City, 82-79.

Murray made three three-pointers and also had four steals.

The Pirates had 20 steals, including four by Monica Hang and Estelle Dias.

Three other Ventura players scored in double figures.

Monique Taylor scored 20 points with Hang and Kellie Gesell each adding 11.

The Pirates shot 37.9% (11 of 29) in the first half before connecting on 45.5% (10 of 22) in the second half.

Jamie Wagner led Lassen with 15 points.
