Krupansky Tops in Marmonte
Junior forward Jon Krupansky of Newbury Park High was selected most valuable offensive player in Marmonte League boys’ soccer.
Guy Sanford of Newbury Park was selected coach of the year.
Senior midfielder Randy Wilson of Royal was chosen most valuable defensive player and teammate Chris Noah, a senior, was selectedgoalkeeper of the season.
In girls’ soccer, Sara Silver-Hill of Westlake was selected most valuable offensive player in the Marmonte League.
Andrea Kessling of Thousand Oaks was named most valuable defensive player, and Kenny Byrd and Carol Myszkowski of Royal were named coaches of the year.
TRACK AND FIELD
* Obie Brown, the boys’ coach at Sylmar High for 25 years, has resigned to spend more time with his family.
Brown, 64, will be replaced by Kevin Taylor, a history teacher who is in his first year at Sylmar.
