Hippies Form One Big Rainbow Family

From VW microbuses to flashy BMWs, followers of the counterculture Rainbow Family and people who just want to party are streaming into central Idaho’s remote Bear Valley.
The annual gathering in the Boise National Forest begins today.
“The core Rainbows are very, very peaceful and accepting, and I think they’re pretty sentimental about their environment,” said Buck Feist of the Forest Service National Incident Management Team. “There’s another group that’s almost as large, if not larger, that’s there because it’s a good environment to party in.”
