Bush Sees Volunteerism Aiding Home Ownership

President Bush said that, while government funds can help meet America’s housing needs, Americans should help volunteer groups build homes for the poor.
In his weekly radio address from Crawford, the president, who worked briefly at a Habitat for Humanity home-building site in Tampa, Fla., last week, said homeownership “still eludes too many people.”
“Government can play a helpful role, but so must many others,” Bush said.
