Hotel Murder Suspect Released on Bail
A Houston man charged with murder in the death of a female co-worker at the Industry Hills Sheraton five years ago was released from jail Saturday after his family posted bail, said a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman.
Robert Lee Salazar, 37, was released from Twin Towers jail about 9:30 a.m., said Sheriff’s Deputy Faye Bugarin. He is expected to return to Texas before his next court date in Los Angeles, Aug. 3.
Salazar, charged with first-degree murder in the death of Sandra Lorena Orellana, 27, was freed after a Superior Court judge lowered his bail from $1 million to $500,000. His family posted bail Friday.
