Wine of the Week
Summer calls for cool, crisp wine and lots of it, at an affordable price. This rose from Bandol definitely fits the bill. In the glass, it’s the color of pink rose petals, yet this is not the simple wine it might seem. Tightly woven and nuanced, it’s not a bit sweet, has a beautiful clean finish and a subtle perfume of raspberries. And with that lovely color, this is such a pretty wine nobody would ever guess you can find it for less than $10.
Serve it very cold with just about everything. And be sure to lay in enough to last through the summer.
