Medical Center to Fill Gap in Kids’ Care
A two-story medical center with a pediatric urgent-care center is set to open this spring.
Children’s Hospital at Mission and Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center, both in Mission Viejo, are partners in the project.
Teresa Conk, vice president of business development for Children’s Hospital of Orange County, said: “Given that the number of children in this area is rapidly growing, we felt it was appropriate to provide this additional service as a convenience to help kids when they’re not feeling well after hours.â€
The 24,000-square-foot medical building, now under construction at El Paseo and La Miranda, will include a full-time pediatric staff that can provide urgent-care services from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and on weekends and holidays. The new center will also offer adult medical services.
