Northridge plays its Big Sky Conference home opener against improved Idaho State. The Matadors swept the Bengals last season and were 7-1 at home in conference games. Idaho State, which finished tied for last in the Big Sky, was 1-7 on the road last season. Idaho State had a school-record 15 three-pointers in a 95-59 victory over Sacred Heart last month and won its conference opener, 74-68, over Eastern Washington. Matador center Brian Heinle averages 20.2 points to lead the Big Sky.
