Morricone to Speak at Composer Event
Italian composer-arranger-conductor Ennio Morricone, who has scored more than 300 films, including the current Miramax release “Malena,†will be the subject of a Jan. 18 “Composer to Composer†symposium organized by the Society of Composers & Lyricists.
The 7:30 p.m. event will begin with a screening of “Malena,†followed by a question-and-answer session with Morricone and a dessert reception.
Admission to the event, to be held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood (8687 Melrose Ave., Green Building), is $25, and $10 for students with valid identification. Complimentary parking will be provided at the Design Center’s San Vicente lot entrance.
