No. 1 Tennessee (27-1, 13-0) clinched the regular-season Southeastern Conference championship and increased its win streak to 16 with a 70-66 victory over Vanderbilt (18-8, 7-6) at Knoxville, Tenn. Vanderbilt’s Chantelle Anderson, who leads the nation in field-goal percentage (73.7%), made seven of eight shots and matched her season average with 20 points. . . . No. 4 Georgia (23-4, 11-2 in the SEC) was a 71-48 winner over Alabama (17-9, 5-8) at Tuscaloosa, Ala. . . . No. 19 Penn State (19-7, 11-4 in the Big Ten) made seven of eight free throws in the final 1:10 to seal a 75-65 victory over No. 5 Purdue (24-5, 14-2) at State College, Pa. Purdue’s Katie Douglas had 25 points. . . . No. 6 Louisiana Tech (24-4, 15-0 in the Sun Belt Conference) got 42 points from its reserves in a 92-64 victory over New Orleans (13-13, 6-9) at Ruston, La. . . .No. 7 Duke (24-3, 12-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference) was a 76-53 winner over Virginia (17-12, 7-8) at Durham, N.C.--the 200th career victory for Coach Gail Goestenkors. . . . No. 11 Florida (22-4, 10-3 in the SEC) got 21 points from Brandi McCain in a 67-59 victory over No. 14 Louisiana State (17-9, 7-6) at Gainesville, Fla. . . . Taru Tuukkanen had 23 points as No. 12 Xavier (24-2, 14-1 in the Atlantic 10) extended its winning streak to 14 games with an 80-57 victory over Duquesne (14-12, 7-8) at Pittsburgh. . . . No. 21 Wisconsin (17-8, 11-4 in the Big Ten) extended its win streak to 12 over Minnesota (8-18, 1-14) with an 86-43 victory at Minneapolis. . . . Randi Peterson scored the final nine points for No. 25 Iowa (16-9, 11-4 in the Big Ten) in a 50-47 victory over Michigan State (9-17, 3-12) at Iowa City.
