University Rallies to Defeat Tustin
University started slowly but came back in the second quarter to take the lead and eventually a 10-7 victory over Tustin in a quarterfinal game of Southern Section Division IV girls’ water polo playoffs Wednesday at Newport Harbor High.
Monica Canby scored four goals and Stephanie Grodin and Sam Klau each scored twice for University. Tiffany Beckman had three saves for the Trojans (15-14).
University will play El Dorado in a semifinal game Friday. A coin flip today will determine the game site.
