* Natalie Sanderson of Buena High has been selected Parade magazine’s national player of the year and Gatorade’s state player of the year.

The All-American forward, a member of the under-19 national team and bound for Stanford, led the Bulldogs to an unbeaten season and the Southern Section Division II title last year.

* Ivan Miranda of Peru beat Lester Cook of Sherman Oaks, 6-4, 6-4, in the final of main-draw qualifying for the Jesse Cooper.com Pro Classic Futures tournament Tuesday at Memorial Park in Houston.

* Top-seeded Jamil Al-Agba of Ojai defeated Jeffrey Das of Fullerton, 6-0, 6-4, to win the boys’ 16 division title in the 57th annual Fullerton tournament Monday at the Fullerton Tennis Center.

In the boys’ 18 division, Robert Yim of Glendale beat third-seeded Derrick Bauer of Marina del Rey, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6, in the semifinals. Yim, a sophomore at Glendale High, will face Doug Stewart of Malibu in the final at 11 a.m. Sunday.
