Partners to Run New Theater Complex
A partnership between Boston-based National Amusements Inc. and CineBridge Ventures will operate a high-end, 17-screen movie theater at the Promenade at Howard Hughes Center in Westchester, the companies said. National Amusement and CineBridge will replace Edwards Theatres Circuit Inc., which filed for bankruptcy protection last August. Since then, developer Jerry Snyder, managing partner of the Promenade at Howard Hughes Center, has been looking for a new operator to anchor the 250,000-square-foot retail and entertainment project near Westchester. The Bridge, as the theater will be called, will include a blend of traditional movie auditoriums and a live entertainment venue, as well as “director’s halls” offering premium and assigned seating. The Bridge is scheduled to open this summer.
