Statue of Liberty Ferry Fares Rise
The price of Liberty has gone up. Starting Feb. 1, adult tickets on the ferry that takes visitors to the Statue of Liberty increased to $8 from $7. Group rates (25 or more) increased to $7 from $6. Fares for children ages 3 to 17 ($3) and adults 62 and older ($6) remain the same. Children under 3 are free.
The increase, granted by the National Park Service, is the first in seven years. Circle Line-Statue of Liberty Ferry Inc., which runs the ferries from Battery Park in Manhattan and Liberty State Park in Jersey City, N.J., cited increases in labor, fuel and other costs. Tel.
