This Time, CBS Puts Best Foot-Joys Forward

A year ago the Viewpoint editor titled my letter, “Not Everybody Loves CBS Golf” regarding the 2000 TV coverage of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. What a difference a year makes. Last Sunday we got full coverage of real golfers like Davis Love III, Vijay Singh, Phil Mickelson and others, not just Ray Romano and the other amateur hackers.
Finally we also saw that CBS can put on a good TV show without Tiger Woods dominating every minute of a four-hour broadcast.
