Holiday Closings

Tuesday is New Year’s Day. The following schedule will be observed:

* County, state and federal offices will be closed.

* City offices will be closed; some will also be closed Monday or will close early.

* County, state and federal courthouses will be closed.

* City and county libraries will be closed.

* Banks and savings and loans will be closed.

* Public schools, community colleges, UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton and Chapman University will be closed.

* Mail will not be delivered; post offices will be closed. Mail deposited in mailboxes will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.

* Trash will not be picked up; collections will be one day late for the balance of the week.

* Buses: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on the holiday schedule.

* Metrolink trains will not run.
