Missing boy--A brief story in the Wednesday A section mislocated the lake where a 6-year-old had been lost. The boy was at Possum Kingdom State Park near the town of Caddo in West Texas, not at Lake Caddo in East Texas.
The shoe was the first sign of the boy after hundreds of workers spent four days looking for him.
Nine boats were looking for Ira, said Texas Parks and Wildlife spokeswoman Kristen Everett. Several horseback riders also searched.
Dogs picked up a scent Monday near the lake, and searchers found a few footprints Sunday that they believe are the boy’s.
