Masts Gather Data on Wind Turbine Farm

The military hopes to harness the power of the wind and waves. Vandenberg Air Force Base has erected four 100-foot-tall masts called data loggers to record information about wind velocity in hopes of retrieving enough information to determine where best to erect a wind turbine farm.
