1 Child Dies, Others Sick From E. Coli at Day Care

A 22-month-old boy has died of an E. coli infection, and health officials said they were investigating other cases at a day care center in eastern Canada.
Dr. Wayne MacDonald, New Brunswick’s chief medical officer, said there were two other confirmed cases and a possible fourth at the center in St. John.
Officials said the boy died Saturday night or Sunday. The bacteria source was unknown, but officials did not believe it involved tap water.
