Granada Hills Kennedy 39, Venice 27--Mavery Davis’ 37-yard fumble return for a touchdown with 8:31 remaining sealed the victory at Birmingham High.
Kennedy (7-5) got that fumble and also intercepted four passes, including two on consecutive possessions in the fourth quarter.
Kennedy’s Nathanial Wynter rushed for 170 yards, including a 63-yard run for a touchdown. Eddie Gomez threw for three scores and ran for another.
Eddie Miller threw for 193 yards and two touchdowns for Venice (7-5).
