* Penn State (5-5) at Virginia (4-7), 9 a.m., ESPN: Do you believe in miracles? The Nittany Lions have bowl hopes. LINE: Penn State by 5.
* * * * No. 1 Miami (10-0) at No. 14 Virginia Tech (8-2), 10 a.m., Channel 7: This qualifies as a must-monitor game. But there’s a chance Miami will handle the Hokies early. LINE: Miami by 14.
* * Georgia Tech (7-4) at Florida State (6-4), 12:30 p.m., ESPN: Still a strange thought: The Seminoles are not Atlantic Coast Conference champions. LINE: Florida State by 101/2.
* * * * No. 5 Tennessee (9-1) at No. 2 Florida (9-1), 1:30 p.m., Channel 2: This showdown is almost always significant, but this year both teams are in the top five--and Florida could take a giant step toward the Rose Bowl. LINE: Florida by 171/2.
* * * Oregon State (5-5) at No. 4 Oregon (9-1), 1:30 p.m., Channel 7: It appears this is still for the championship of Oregon after all. LINE: Oregon by 101/2.
* Arizona State (4-6) at UCLA (6-4), 2 p.m., Fox Sports Net: Bruins barely have bothered to try down the stretch. Should you bother to watch? LINE: UCLA by 101/2.
* * * No. 25 Auburn (7-3) at No. 22 Louisiana State (7-3), 4:45 p.m., ESPN: The winner takes the Southeastern Conference West--and gets a chance to play spoiler in SEC title game. LINE: Louisiana State by 7.
* * * * No. 3 Texas (10-1) vs. No. 9 Colorado (9-2), Big 12 championship at Dallas, 5 p.m., Channel 7: Stop flipping channels. Oklahoma-Nebraska rematch didn’t happen, but this is titanic just the same. LINE: Texas by 81/2.
* * * No. 10 Brigham Young (11-0) at Mississippi State (3-7), 5 p.m., ESPN2: Despite the great disparity in records, the oddsmakers don’t consider BYU an overwhelming favorite. LINE: Brigham Young by 4.
