Pen Interconnect OKs Merger with tAA

Shareholders of Pen Interconnect Inc. on Thursday approved the Santa Ana company’s merger with Irvine-based tAA Inc., a transaction placing privately held tAA in control and changing the name of the combined company to the Amanda Co.
tAA, a supplier of cell processing software, formerly was known as Amanda Co.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Pen Interconnect had provided manufacturing services before shedding its operations and reducing its staff to two employees and a part-time financial consultant.
