In Brief
* * Richard Humpty Vission, “Damn That DJ Made My Day,†Tommy Boy Silver. One of the forefathers of the house scene and a local hero thanks to his long-running stint with Power 106, Vission stays true to his reputation for pushing the limit with this dense, elaborate and ultimately exhausting mix CD. Of the staggering 34 tracks, none individually will make you question Vission’s ear or song selection, which remain solid. As a complete work though, it becomes overwhelming.
