Flynn to Volunteer in Mexico During Recess
Ventura County Supervisor John Flynn will spend the next two weeks volunteering at a state agency in Mexico that deals with immigration issues.
This is the fourth year that Flynn has traveled to Mexico. In previous years, he attended a language school to brush up on his Spanish.
But this year, Flynn said, he will work in a government office in the Mexican state of Guanajuato.
Flynn’s Oxnard political base has the most Spanish-speaking immigrants of the five supervisorial districts in the county. The Board of Supervisors is in summer recess for a month.
