From Times Staff Reports
A 21-year-old Santa Monica man has been charged with murder in the stabbing death last month of a taxicab driver, authorities said Wednesday.
Antonio Barba is being held on $1-million bail in connection with the slaying of Keum Kim, said Los Angeles police Officer Hayley Purece. Police said that Kim, 59, drove Barba to the 800 block of Brooks Avenue on July 8 and that Barba robbed and then stabbed the driver multiple times, Purece said.
Barba will be arraigned Aug. 28 at the Airport Branch Courthouse in Los Angeles.
