CDW Computer Centers Inc., a seller of computers and technology to businesses, said third-quarter revenue may be less than forecast as the slowing U.S. economy leads customers to reduce spending.
Sales are expected to be about $970 million to $1.01 billion in its third quarter, CDW said. Earnings are estimated at 43 cents to 47 cents a share, the Vernon Hills, Ill.-based company said.
Last month, the company said sales would be $990 billion to $1.03 billion, and earnings would be 44 cents to 48 cents a share. Analysts’ average profit forecast is 46 cents, according to Thomson Financial/First Call.
CDW shares fell $3.62 to $42.20 on the news in after-hours trading, from a close of $45.82, off $1.80, on Nasdaq.
