Watson Begins Next Phase of Tech Center
Watson Land Co. has broken ground on 424,000 square feet of industrial buildings in Carson in the latest phase of the Dominguez Technology Center.
The $15-million project comprises one building of more than 247,000 square feet and another of more than 177,000 square feet, said Kirk Johnson, a Watson Land vice president. The company expects to complete construction of the two buildings in the fall.
The center includes 438 acres in Carson and Rancho Dominguez, an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County. Watson previously developed more than 975,000 square feet at Dominguez Technology Center.
Carson-based Watson Land has developed more than 1,000 acres of industrial and commercial property in the last 30 years. The company owns and manages more than 11.6 million square feet of industrial and office buildings.
