Doctors performed another round of tests on Angel television analyst Rex Hudler, who remains in stable condition at a San Francisco Bay Area hospital after an aneurysm ruptured at the base of his brain Saturday.
Hudler, 40, remains in stable condition and is resting comfortably, team spokeswoman Nancy Mazmanian said.
If doctors determine Hudler is at risk of additional bleeding, brain surgery--to support or block off the blood vessel that burst--could be necessary. A second rupture would carry significant risk of death or serious injury.
The Angels were deluged Monday with calls from well-wishers. Through the team, Hudler’s family asked that fans wishing to send flowers instead consider a donation to his foundation, Team Up for Down’s Syndrome. Hudler’s son Cade has Down’s Syndrome. The address is 1100 Irvine Blvd. #35, Tustin, CA 92780.
