Florida Girl Suspended in School Attack Threat

OCALA, Fla. — An eighth-grader was suspended from school for 10 days after she allegedly threatened to carry out an attack similar to the one two years ago at Columbine High School in Colorado.
The girl was taken to a mental health facility and will attend an alternative education center when her suspension ends, authorities said.
Students at North Marion Middle School heard the girl threaten to shoot classmates, school officials said. A school resource officer learned about the threats last week and began investigating.
“Apparently she was naming all the people who had given her a hard time,” Sheriff’s Lt. Guy McWilliams said.
