How Much Do We Value Our Children’s Keepers?

In response to “Child-Care Workers Start to Take Care of Themselves” (April 5): What kind of message is being sent to our children when our legislators feel it is OK to pay a child-care worker a lower wage than that paid to a worker at Home Depot or McDonalds? Is this the way to treat those who look after “our greatest resource”?
