Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash

A man was killed Sunday when his vehicle slammed into a power pole between Oxnard and Camarillo, authorities said.
The man, who was not identified pending notification of his family, crashed on Rose Avenue near Central Avenue. The accident was reported by a passing motorist shortly before 9 p.m., authorities said.
California Highway Patrol officers were still investigating the crash late Sunday night. A crew from Southern California Edison was also sent to inspect the power pole.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known. No power outages were reported.
