Benny Verduzco, 26, Alex Aros, 26, and Melody Lopez, 29, were arrested about 4 p.m. at an apartment on the 10700 block of Orange Grove Avenue.
They were booked on suspicion of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and were held on $500,000 bail apiece.
Whittier police Lt. Rick Gilliland said officers found chemicals used for manufacturing methamphetamine at the apartment, including 5 gallons of ephedrine, 50 pounds of red phosphorous and 3 pounds of iodine.
Police said they also found a handgun and a small amount of methamphetamine. Three children were taken into protective custody.
