DEJA VU, AGAIN

This fall’s been-there-done-that candidates look to be “Red Planet” (Nov. 3) and “Blow Dry” (Oct. 27). “Red,” which stars Val Kilmer and Carrie-Anne Moss, about an ill-fated Mars expedition and an encounter with the other, bears a striking resemblance to this spring’s “Mission to Mars.” The season’s other repeat experience, “Blow Dry,” goes comb-to-comb with last January’s “The Big Tease.” Both films involve grand-scale hairstyling championships--not previously considered a distinct genre.
