Edwards Lifesciences Corp., Irvine-based artificial heart-valve maker, said Friday it completed the sale of its Bentley cardiopulmonary product line to Germany’s Jostra AG for about $30 million. Edwards Lifesciences said Jostra acquired most of the assets of the Bentley line and assumed responsibility for Edwards’ perfusion product manufacturing operations in Anasco, Puerto Rico. Edwards has said it expected to take a $360-million noncash, pretax charge--about $350 million in the second quarter and the remainder in the third quarter. Edwards was spun off from Baxter International Inc. in January.
