OUTLOOK
Looking for a dark horse? Woodbridge won four of its first five games, then went winless in league. Its chances for improvement hingeon the development of its offensive line: Marquez at center, Russell and Murray at guards, Shindler and Cole or Cordes at tackles. Vastly improved physical strength among the players has Gibson excited, as does the off-season development of Pearson at quarterback. Chavers, Nyberg, Peterson, Hoops and Smith are so gifted as receivers, the Warriors are even likely to pass more often than they run. Last season’s growing pains should pay off this season for linebackers White, Westover and Barnes; the defensive line should be solid with Hustedt and Nagy, and May is one of the best cornerbacks Woodbridge has had. Chavers and Kellogg are quick but untested in the secondary.
