A new agreement with the Yorba Linda Masonic Temple Assn. will make it easier for Main Street patrons to use nearby parking.
The City Council recently accepted an easement from the temple association to let pedestrians pass over a portion of its property to walk from a city parking lot on Olinda Street to the Town Center business area and Yorba Linda Public Library.
Temple officials asked the city to release the association from liability, and asked the entry from the Olinda lot be fenced off. City officials have also decided to increase the height of the fence separating the Olinda lot from the Masonic Lot to 6 feet, install lighting and create a pathway from the Olinda lot to Main Street.
