Seminar to Offer Home Buying Advice

A free Saturday morning seminar will teach prospective home buyers what they need to know about purchasing a home.
The course, offered by the Area Housing Authority and Pacific Partners Mortgage, will qualify potential owners for special loan programs from the city and other agencies.
Some potential homeowners have enough income to make payments but have not set aside enough money for the down payment or closing costs. The certificate of achievement from the course is part of the eligibility for a grant for the down payment.
The class is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Area Housing Authority office in Newbury Park.
