Cortex Pharmaceuticals Inc., which is developing therapies for neurological and psychiatric disorders, said Wednesday that the National Institutes of Health has agreed to fund continued research on a therapy for strokes.
The Irvine neuroscience company said in a press release that it expects the grant to cover three years and provide total funding of $1,074,157. The principal investigator is Gary A. Rogers, a Cortex senior vice president.
The grant under a Phase II Small Business Innovative Research program follows funding previously awarded under the program.
