The Aliso Viejo maker of equipment for computer storage networks posted a second-quarter net loss of $1.3 million, or 1 cent a share, which included a charge of $22.9 million in merger and related acquisition expenses and a higher tax rate from certain nondeductible merger costs. A year ago, the company earned $12.3 million, or 14 cents a share. Revenue for the quarter ended Oct. 1 rose 68% to $86 million. The company acquired Minnesota fiber-channel switch maker Ancor Communications in August.
