Chris McMillen
Newport Harbor, Cross-Country
McMillen won the Orange County Championships Saturday in 15 minutes 2 seconds on the three-mile course at Irvine Regional Park.
McMillen finished six seconds ahead of Santa Margarita’s
Steven
Murray. McMillen’s victory helped give eighth-ranked Newport Harbor the team title as well with 108 points. Second-ranked Santa Ana finished second with 118 points and top-ranked Dana Hills was third with 126.

Scored 10 goals in two games, helping the Chargers beat two higher-ranked teams, No. 5 San Clemente and No. 7 Servite.

Esperanza, Football
Rushed for 328 yards--tops in the county this season--and scored five touchdowns in 41-15 victory over Fountain Valley.
Tracy Lin
Canyon, Tennis
Lin, a freshman, upset Villa Park freshman Lindsey Nelson, 7-6 (7-4), in the deciding set of a Century
League
match that gave the sixth-
ranked Comanches a 10-8 victory, their first over the Spartans since the early 1990s. Both players were undefeated going in, and Nelson had defeated Lin in each of their four previous meetings. Lin swept all three of her matches Tuesday and improved her record to 25-0 this season.

Fountain Valley, Cross-Country
Won the Orange County Championships, defeating runner-up Amber Steen of Newport Harbor by eight seconds.
* Sarah Engle
Esperanza, Volleyball
Had 15 kills, four blocks and 27 assists as the ninth-ranked Aztecs defeated third-ranked Huntington Beach.
