WSC BOWL RESULTS

* 1988--Glendale 23, Santa Monica 20

The Vaqueros rallied from a 20-7 deficit in the first half, scoring the winning touchdown on tailback Sean Hampton’s one-yard dive with 11:17 to play at Santa Monica.

* 1989--Santa Barbara 25, Valley 25

Host Valley led, 19-0, in the second quarter, but Santa Barbara pulled even early in the fourth quarter. Rules prohibited an overtime period.

* 1990--Moorpark 69, Santa Monica 34

Jamal Anderson set the tone for host Moorpark, scoring on a 59-yard run on the first play. He had 10 carries for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Teammate Freddie Bradley had 183 yards in 23 carries and three touchdowns.

* 1991--Santa Monica 32, San Bernardino Valley 31

The first of two WSC Bowl games that year. The Corsairs recovered a bad punt snap in the end zone and made the extra point with 6:34 to play for the victory at Santa Monica.

* 1991--Moorpark 35, Pierce 16

In the second WSC Bowl game of the year, Corey Tucker completed six of 11 for 131 yards and two touchdowns for host Moorpark.

* 1992--Antelope Valley 24, Glendale 23

Ryan Callahan and Lamart Cooper connected on scoring pass plays of 44 and 50 yards in the second half to rally the Marauders from a 20-3 halftime deficit at Glendale.

* 1993--Valley 21, Moorpark 19

Sean Fitzgerald’s 16-yard pass to Brian Comer with three seconds to play lifted the Monarchs at Moorpark. Fitzgerald had 317 yards passing. Comer had nine receptions for 182 yards.

* 1994--Fullerton 38, Hancock 33

Fullerton’s James Hartford, the game’s most valuable player, carried 13 times for 81 yards and one touchdown at Santa Maria.

* 1995--Moorpark 30, El Camino 19

Gary Clemons gave host Moorpark a boost with a 74-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. He finished with 148 yards in 14 carries.

* 1996--Valley 37, Hancock 25

Valley safety Ryan Block intercepted two passes in the fourth quarter, end Jerry Melikyan intercepted one in the third quarter and tackle Edgar Nava recovered a fumble to set up a Monarch touchdown later in the quarter at Valley.

* 1997--No game

Rain flooded the field at Santa Barbara City College, forcing the cancellation of the game between Moorpark and the Vaqueros.

* 1998--Ventura 23, West L.A. 14

Ventura was sparked by Maurice Atwood’s 104 yards and one touchdown in 21 carries and Travis Rogers’ 94 yards and one touchdown in 25 carries at Ventura High.

* 1999--Hancock 20, Ventura 13

Chris Lester had 149 yards in 21 carries and scored the winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter at Nordhoff High.

Kevin Carrasco threw two touchdown passes to Mark Hamilton and Zeke Prado in the final 51 seconds to lift Canyons. The former Saugus High standout finished with 379 yards passing and four touchdowns.

1999--Hancock, 52-50

Canyons scored a touchdown with 50 seconds to play, but the Bulldogs recovered the ensuing onside kick at Santa Maria. Chris Kobe passed for 244 yards and three touchdowns for Canyons. Doug Pazdan passed for 245 yards and three touchdowns for Hancock.

2000--Canyons, 21-14

Jason d’Autremont scored on a 50-yard touchdown pass from Travis Winn with 12:05 remaining to give host Canyons the victory. Steve Smith had 106 yards and a touchdown in 16 carries for the Cougars.
