Panthers Halted by Berry’s 46
Shayne Berry scored 46 points and Brandon Robinson had 21 for Chatsworth High in a 76-73 victory over Newbury Park in a quarterfinal game of the Simi Valley boys’ basketball tournament Wednesday night.
Scott Johnston had 11 points for the Chancellors (2-0), who outscored Newbury Park, 39-29, in the second half.
Aaron Bobik scored 24 points, Adam Carlson added 21 and Chris Randall had 13 for the Panthers (1-1), who led, 44-37, at halftime.
In other Simi Valley tournament games:
Camarillo 66, Chaminade 63--Jared Jungwirth had 23 points and the Scorpions made seven of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter of a quarterfinal victory at Camarillo.
