BUENA PARK
The Buena Park Library District is encouraging children in grades four to 12 to participate in a national essay competition. The contest asks students to write a letter to an author--living or dead--explaining how the author’s book changed their way of viewing the world and themselves. The contest deadline is Dec. 1. Entry forms are available at the library at 7150 La Palma Ave. Information: (714) 826-4100, Ext. 126.
