Most-Stolen Cars

The Honda Accord has once again topped the list as the most-stolen car in Los Angeles and across the nation, according to a study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
It’s not that the Accord is easier to steal than any other car, but it’s a very popular car among consumers, said Candysse Miller, executive director of Insurance Information Network of California, a nonprofit trade association that monitors casualty and property insurance. The network released the study done by the crime bureau.
“It’s a reflection of the marketplace,” she said. “The more popular the car, the more demand there is for its parts in the black market.”
The study also showed that minivans, sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks are becoming increasingly popular with car thieves.
