* In his Oct. 31 commentary about drivers talking on cell phones, Stephen Giegerich asked the question: “What is so important?” And then he answered: “Nothing is that important.”
I have to disagree. As a locksmith I am on the road a lot. My livelihood is dependent on customers. The most I talk at any one time is no more than one or two minutes.
Any time that it is possible, I will pull over and stop my van. I don’t cut in front of other cars, and I stop at all stop signs. Plus I don’t chit-chat with family or friends.
