* Record vs. Red Wings (1999-2000)--2-2-1.
* Update--The Red Wings are coming off a 4-2 victory at Phoenix on Wednesday that ended the Coyotes’ 12-game unbeaten streak. Former King Manny Legace made 26 saves to improve his record to 5-1-0. Although Coach Scotty Bowman insists Chris Osgood (4-5) is still his top choice despite not saying he doesn’t put numbers on his goalies, Legace has been especially sharp with a 1.96 goals-against average. The Kings, who were swept by the Red Wings in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs last season, are unbeaten (4-0-1) in their last five games and can match their longest such streak of last season with a win or tie tonight.
