Booker Goes Over 2,000 as Carpinteria Goes Under, 35-3

Lorenzo Booker ran for four touchdowns and surpassed 2,000 yards rushing for the second consecutive season to lead St. Bonaventure to a 35-3 Tri-Valley League victory Friday night at Carpinteria.
Booker, who gained 284 yards in 18 carries, had touchdown runs of five, 66 and 17 yards in the second quarter to give the Seraphs (10-0, 4-0 in league play), who have won 24 consecutive games, a 28-0 halftime lead.
Booker, a junior, added an eight-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter.
Quarterback Jack Swisher had a nine-yard touchdown run to cap an 85-yard drive on St. Bonaventure’s opening possession.
The Seraphs, who came into the game with three consecutive shutouts, saw their streak end on the last play when Ian Allen-Williams connected on a 27-yard field goal.
The Warriors (3-6-1, 1-3) were led by quarterback Chris Gocong, who rushed for 106 yards in 22 carries and completed nine of 26 passes for 107 yards. He had two passes intercepted. Scott Lopez had six receptions for 78 yards.
