All of the Yorba Linda Water District’s wells meet federal and state water quality standards, including guidelines set for the contaminant MTBE, water district officials announced.
Water board Vice President Paul Armstrong said local wells reported to contain high levels of MTBE--a chemical found in fossil fuels--do not belong to the district and are not a part of the local drinking-water system.
All water supplied to customers is safe and clean, he said.
